Little Blue and Pink Boxes
You might have noticed that we have some interesting pink and blue boxes next to links on this blog.
The pink boxes or speech bubbles are ‘Snap Shots’. These give you a quick snap shot of where the link is pointing to. You can checkout the destination without even navigating to the site. You can find more information about this tool at: http://www.snap.com/about/shots.php (checkout the preview by hovering over the link)
The blue boxes give you more information and useful actions you want to take like a list of places to buy (amazon, ebay etc.) and a list of ways to bookmark or tag the item. You can find more information about this tool at: http://adaptiveblue.com/index.html
These are just two examples of tools that help by adding contextual information and actions to content on the web.
